Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, Amherst, is locally owned by long time Buffalo resident Abban Westby. Having owned and operated bars & restaurants in Buffalo over the past 18 years, Abban was looking for a unique offering not yet available to the Buffalo marketplace. After much research, Abban identified the old American favorite of pit smoked, barbecued food, but in the quick serve format, as the ideal offering.

With Dickey’s, we offer meticulously and slowly prepared pit smoked meat, in a quick serve model for people in a rush. While all the meats are prepared & smoked on site for up to 14 hours, our goal is to serve you this mouthwatering meat on demand. Our pit is smoking meat 24 hours a day, constantly providing our guests with the freshet quality meats.

Dickey’s first opened in Dallas, Texas, in 1941, and since then it has become a household name across the US, synonymous with providing the best Texas style barbecue. There are many ways for you to experience our delicious barbecue, from our Dine-in restaurant in Amherst, call or order online for Take-out pickup, use one of the 3rd party Delivery vendors, our Food Truck, or ordering our Catering Service.
